The Chance to Dance fund was established in 2008 by DCE senior Mia Weinberger as a way to provide financial support for dance students in need. We never want a family’s financial status to stand in the way of a child’s dance education.
Please consider supporting this fund and help continue bringing the joy of dance to young people in our community. You can donate here or indicate your donation in the Chance to Dance box on your registration form.
Since 2008, Chance to Dance has helped over 200 kids to take pre-professional, recreational, and introductory movement classes at DCE.
Honoring DCE Alum Louisa Carman
Established in 2024 in loving memory of DCE alum Louisa Carman, the Louisa Carman Memorial Scholarship is granted to one DCE student each school year to further their dance education in the form of a $500 scholarship.
Recipients are nominated by DCE faculty, and the award is given to students who display a passion for dancing across multiple styles, a strong work ethic, and a kind spirit. Please indicate below if you’d like your donation to go toward this scholarship. Any funds donated beyond the scholarship amount will be carried forward to the following school year’s award.
